Job Overview:

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager isaccountable for development and execution of programs that provideour employees with a safe workplace and minimizes impact to ourenvironment; influences people to achieve a strong and engagedsafety culture; leads a process that assures compliance withfederal, state, and local environmental, health, and safetyregulations; implements a sustainable environmental, health andsafety management system and drives EHS performance improvement.

Knoxville, TN plant.

What you will do:
  • Culture & ChangeChampion; inspire team members to appreciate and be accountable forour safety culture;
  • Develop environmental, safety and industrialhygiene plans, policies, and procedures that result in compliancewith local, State, and federal Occupational Safety and HealthAdministration (OSHA) rules and regulations and conform withCompany policies; Maintains a system for reporting, monitoring, andcorrecting serious safety problems;
  • Serves as primary liaisonbetween applicable regulatory and government agencies; Overseeshealth & safety, environmental, and DOT audits of facilities andrecommends preventative measures; Ensures all significant nearmisses, injuries, and safety events are investigated and abatementmeasures implemented;
  • Administer Workers Compensation program andcompiles and submits accident reports required by regulatoryagencies;
  • Implements training programs that lead to increasedproficiency in safe practices, promote safety consciousness,assures environmental compliance and advance continuousimprovement; Drive implementation of strategic EHS initiatives;identifies elements of change required to support the EHS strategy;encourages management team to balance short-term demands with longterm benefits of strategic EHS programs;•Establish a process thatlead to reduce incident rates and environmental impacts whilereducing company costs (e.

g., amount of workers compensation,etc.); establishes order of priority for EHS initiatives and drivestheir implementation in cooperation of department managers, EHSspecialists, safety teams, and other personnel;

  • Establishes andmeasure specific safety and health goals and objectives for thecompany and departments ensuring the targets are consistent withcorporate strategies and objectives;
  • Analyzes safety processesthroughout facility; seek to identify opportunities forimprovement; identify incident root cause; recommend changes towork flow, equipment or other processes; and implement supportsystems/processes (I.e. safety rewards and recognitions, safetycommunications, etc.) to achieve safety objectives;
  • Communicateand celebrate successes and foster company-wide commitment tosafety and continuous environmental improvement; Educate EHS bestpractices, prevention and how to work around/with hazardoussubstances;
  • Formulates, maintains and executes Keurig Dr Pepperemergency plans and responds to safety and employee emergencies.

Requirements:
  • Leadership thatcaptivates and moves team mates to meet business objectives
  • 5-7years experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience in ISO environmental management systems preferred
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified IndustrialHygienist preferred
  • Strong background in ergonomic risk reduction
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a varietyof stakeholders
  • Proven ability to develop safety and continuousenvironmental improvement as part of the Company culture
  • Stronganalytical skills and the ability to propose solutions to problems
  • Able to be on call 24/7
