The position ensures a safe work environmentfor all employees while maintaining compliance with allInternational Organization for Standardization (ISO) guidelines,and safety-related legal requirements.

This position is responsible for supervising a team of Health,Safety, and Environmental Representatives. Ensure health, safetyand environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs complywith company, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA),federal, state, and local regulations. Manage environmentalprograms. Maintain log of chemicals used at facility andcorresponding safety data sheets (SDS). Lead and coordinateenvironmental systems activities to meet the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO) guideline. Respond to andfacilitate investigations for HSE incidents and near misses, assistwith identification of root causes, and drive implementation ofcorrective actions. Manage position specific safety and healthtraining programs to educate employees in work site safetypractices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques forchemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials. Review newmachinery, equipment, and plant layout changes to ensure aproactive safety approach. Monitor occupational health andindustrial hygiene activities including air sampling, noisemeasurements, etc. Inspect facilities to detect existing orpotential accident and health hazards, determine corrective orpreventative measures where needed and follow up to ensure measureshave been implemented. Organize ergonomic assessments and jobhazard analysis for all areas. Ensure appropriate personalprotective equipment is available for employees. Facilitatevisitor/contractor expectations pertaining to plant safety. Manageinternal audits and annual certification programs. Maintain HSEfiles and records. Compiles and submits accident and other reportsas required by regulatory agencies. Your Experience &Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in occupational health,Environmental Health/Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related fieldfrom an accredited four-year college or university 7 years previousor related experience preferred Strong leadership and decisionmaking skills required, ability to make difficult decisions and setthe example for employees Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills, including presentation delivery Ability tomanage short and/or long-term projects to successful completionMust have broad, basic understanding of federal, state, and localhealth, safety, and environmental laws and regulations Certifiedsafety professional (CSP) and/or certified industrial hygienist(CIH) certifications preferred Our Offering We will provide acollaborative environment working on exciting assignments, alongwith ongoing personal & career development opportunities.
