Summary:

Assist in providing technical safetydirection and support for project safety and companyinjury-prevention efforts. Travel per policy/jobsite.

EssentialFunctions:

Foster the growth of an Injury and Incident FreeEnvironment by providing leadership and mentoring of associates.

Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects andmaintenance facilities to ensure compliance with establishedcompany, federal and state safety standards. Assist in theidentification, control, and elimination of unsafe acts and unsafeconditions. Investigate incidents to determine root cause andimplement corrective actions. Assist with the delivery of safetytraining. Coordinate and conduct industrial hygiene monitoring forchemical and physical hazards. Prepare written safety-relatedreports. Participate in pre-construction meetings and planningactivities. Assist with recordkeeping and safety metrics.

Education& Training:

BS degree in Safety Sciences or equivalent. ASP, GSP,CSP or similar certification preferred, but not required

OSHAConstruction Outreach Trainer CPR, AED and First Aid Experience:

Minimum ten (10) years of construction industry experience. Three(3) years construction safety experience.

Knowledge and Abilities:

Working knowledge of safety standards including

OSHA 29 CFR

1926and 1910, EM 385, DOT, EPA. Strong technical skills are essential.

Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

Reaching high andlow, stooping, and bending, lifting/carrying/moving up to 100pounds continually, able to travel per the company travel policy,able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisyconstruction environment, able to work in all types of weather

Rational decision-making ability, attention todetail, makes final decisions and assumes accountability for them;demonstrates the ability to separate the people from the problem orsituation, ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilityas needed.
