Accentuate Staffing is looking to hire a Safety & TrainingCoordinator to join a leading construction company in Selma, NC.This role is instrumental in promoting a culture of safety andcontinuous learning across the organization. You will develop,deliver, and evaluate safety and training programs to ensure ourworkforce is knowledgeable, compliant, and prepared to work safelyand effectively. This role is ideal for a proactive professionalwith a strong background in construction safety, bilingualcommunication skills, and a passion for employee development.
Responsibilities:
Lead and conduct new employee safety and trainingorientations. Own and manage the entire fleet driver safetyprogram: orientation, assessment, ride-alongs, accident reporting,review, and remedial training. Perform training needs assessmentsto identify skill gaps and recommend targeted improvements.
Maintain adequate inventory levels of safety equipment and PPE.Conduct Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) and ensure adherence tosafety protocols and training programs. Evaluate the effectivenessof training initiatives and recommend enhancements. Maintainaccurate safety and training records in compliance with regulatorystandards. Plan, schedule, and conduct safety meetings and toolboxtalks. Maintain and update the safety program and policy handbook.
Oversee incident/accident reporting, root cause analysis, andretraining as required. Monitor and utilize the fleet GPS trackingsystem for driver safety and performance. Update and manage OSHAlogs and ensure compliance with OSHA reporting requirements.
Prepare job safety reports to support project bidding processes.
Coordinate facility and grounds safety measures. Perform otherduties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bilingual:
Fluent in both writtenand verbal English and Spanish. Minimum 3 years of experience in aSafety/Training Coordinator role within the construction industry.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (3 years). Strongorganizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to managecompeting priorities. Confident, engaging, and effectivecommunicator across various presentation settings. Strong technicalwriting skills for documenting training activities, assessments,and reports. Working knowledge of workers’ compensation regulationsand occupational health standards. Proven ability to build rapportand influence across diverse teams. Skilled in assessing, coaching,and motivating employees to embrace safety practices.
Technologically adept, including experience using digital tools fortraining and documentation. Able to independently develop trainingmaterials, course outlines, and procedural documents. OSHAconstruction certification preferred, or willingness to obtain uponhire.
