This role includes inspecting facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and best practices, performing sampling and analysis for asbestos, noise, air quality, and other potential hazards, and serving as a subject matter expert for industrial hygiene programs such as ergonomics, hearing conservation, and chemical hygiene. The IH II investigates worker complaints, assesses worksites, recommends remediation actions, and develops and delivers safety and health training. The position also involves maintaining and calibrating monitoring equipment, updating databases with inspection results, contributing to Occupational Health program reports, supporting the Respiratory Protection program, and participating in committees and program meetings. How You Will Fulfill Your Mission Anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control environmental factors or stresses in the workplace that may impact worker health and safety. Inspect facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and accepted industrial hygiene practices. Perform sampling, analysis, and surveys for asbestos, noise, air quality, and other potential workplace hazards. Serve as a subject matter expert for IH programs, including ergonomics, hearing conservation, and chemical hygiene. Investigate worker complaints, assess worksites, and recommend remediation actions as needed. Develop and deliver training sessions on safety and health topics, and maintain relevant documentation. Maintain and calibrate industrial hygiene monitoring equipment and update databases/portals with inspection and survey results. Contribute reports on Occupational Health program activities and achievements. Support the Respiratory Protection program and assist with special assignments as needed.
