Paid Holidays The role As the Safety Representative you will work closely with the with the Branch Manager, Team Members, members of the Safety Team and the Executive Team to reach all company safety requirements and goals; managing safety performance in a diverse portfolio of environmental projects, ensuring regulatory/safety compliance and providing expert technical input; performing site investigations and client interaction; act as a safety and environmental champion, lead by example, and correct/coach unsafe conditions and behaviors among team members. The Safety Representative’s specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: What you will be doing Direct the implementation of safety training requirements. Maintain current knowledge of OSHA Construction and factory Safety Regulations, including:

PRCS, LO/TO, 40

Hr. HAZWoper, PRCS Rescue, Fall Protection, PPE, etc. Perform field safety audits of Company projects and personnel at customer facilities to ensure full compliance and adherence to safety rules and regulations. Inspect safety equipment for proper working conditions, integrity, and maintenance. Manage training programs and recertification processes. Manage medical surveillance program. Problem solve, research, and develop solutions related to providing safe working conditions on project sites. Provide technical advice regarding safety equipment and safety procedures to Company Personnel. Order safety supplies and work with vendors to maintain efficient restocking and cost management for safety supplies. Ability to build relationships with clients. Limited travel required (about 5% travel). Some Flexibility with work hours required. Manage near miss-program. Investigate employee injuries and manage the medical response as needed. The Safety Representative will also undertake other responsibilities and duties that may be assigned by SES from time to time. Qualifications Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Safety, or other related discipline. 2+ years of health and safety compliance experience. Ability to communicate well and work with operations personnel to get “buy in” on safety policies. Proficiency using Microsoft Office products. Good written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and organizational and scheduling skills are essential. Certificates & Licenses Valid Driver’s license OSHA 30-hour Training, preferred. Job Demands & Work Environment Must be able to visit and tour manufacturing facilities, including climbing stairs, cat-walks, climbing tank ladders, etc. This position may require exposure to hazardous environments and require the wearing of a respirator. This position requires adherence with DOT Drug and Alcohol testing requirements. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to perform field safety inspections, enter confined spaces, and respond to emergencies.
