Job Description
EHS Coordinator 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Montgomery, AL 36117 The main function of the EHS Coordinator is to ensure that the facility is following all applicable environmental laws and regulations & promoting a “Safety First” culture. Responsibilities Inspect the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks. Develop and implement inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections. Develop health and safety procedures for all areas of the company. Prepare and schedule training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics. Monitors compliance with safety procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in health & safety or related field; and 5 years EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines. Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management. Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite Thorough knowledge of EHS policies, worker’s compensation, OSHA, ADA and experience with ISO management system principles required. Understand and respond to a diverse multinational population. Preferred Skills Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) certification OSHA certification
Compensation:
$65K – $85K DOE Contract to Hire
