This role will be responsible for managing the health and safety of the site and ensuring compliance is met. This will be done by regular attendance in the field, regular audits and reports, relationship building with employees, composing trainings and presentations, familiarization of the work, and communication with site leadership. The ideal candidate will be someone excited to dive into the work process and is passionate about worker safety. This will be a contract based position that will require travel to various locations based on clients needs. Duties Conduct thorough safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace, along with communication to site leadership. Develop, implement, and maintain safety training programs tailored to the specific needs of the organization. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant regulations. Prepare detailed reports on safety inspections with recommendations for improvement. Provide detailed reports on safety incidents along with recommendation for corrective actions for future prevention. Collaborate with management to create and enforce health and safety policies. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in occupational health regulations. Requirements 5+ years experience in a health and safety role. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and how to apply them. Knowledgable on topics like work at heights, confined space, scaffolding, etc… Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly. Ability to work outside for extended periods of time. Experience in training development and delivery is a plus. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to build and deliver trainings and presentations. Proficient in the Microsoft 365 suite. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Preferred Bachelors in Occupational Safety and Health or other science/engineering degree. ASP, CHST, or CSP certification. OSHA 30. Competent/Qualified person trainings. Experience in large commercial construction settings.
