Job Summary Clauger, a leader in industrial refrigeration solutions, is seeking an Entry-Level Process Safety Specialist to support the implementation and maintenance of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Process (RMP) programs. This role combines technical support, regulatory compliance, and customer interaction to ensure the safety and integrity of ammonia refrigeration systems and related cooling processes. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior specialists to develop skills in audits, inspections, and training while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and compliance. Job Duties Assist in conducting audits and inspections of customer facilities to ensure adherence to PSM, RMP, OSHA, EPA, and IIAR codes, standards, and regulations. Support senior specialists in developing and implementing plant-specific policies, procedures, and documentation for anhydrous ammonia equipment and cooling systems. Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) activities under supervision. Help develop and deliver basic PSM-related training materials for customers and internal staff. Assist in performing Mechanical Integrity Inspections at customer facilities after completing required training. Contribute to the creation of technical reports and PSM documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and customer standards. Support customers during agency inspections by providing documentation and coordination assistance. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations. Participate in internal staff and project status meetings to ensure coordination and alignment. Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and company objectives. Education, Certification/Licenses Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety management, industrial technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Willingness to pursue certifications related to PSM or industrial refrigeration (e.g., IIAR or

training) within the first year of employment. Experience 0-2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, safety management, or a related field. Internships or co-op experience in facilities employing

standards is a plus. Exposure to ammonia refrigeration systems or industrial piping systems is preferred but not required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic understanding of regulatory requirements related to PSM, RMP, OSHA, or EPA standards. Mechanically inclined with an interest in learning industrial refrigeration systems and piping. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and creating reports. Problem-solving and analytical skills to support audits and inspections. Familiarity with computer systems, including MS Office, Google Collaboration tools, and an aptitude for learning software such as AutoCAD or function-specific programs. Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and company information. High work ethic and accountability for the quality of work produced. Comfortable working with and around ammonia refrigeration systems, adhering to strict safety standards. Responsibilities Complete assigned compliance tasks accurately and within budgeted hours. Ensure the accuracy of PSM documentation and technical reports. Proactively coordinate with team members to avoid gaps or conflicts in project execution. Represent the company professionally in front of customers, demonstrating a commitment to safety and compliance.
