This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examinion and an annual examinion thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. In the event of severe weher conditions or other such emergency type situions, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain work as scheduled to support mission operions. This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules. This position is required to possess or complete CP-12 Level I Professional Certificion program within 24 months of appointment. Must possess or obtain within 6 months of appointment to position, a hazardous merials level training certificions through Internional Fire Service Accredition Congress (IFSAC) or Pro Board Fire Service Professional Qualificions System. Required to wear Personnel Protective Equipment. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determinion of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the durion of employment. Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience the GS-07 grade level or equivalent which includes inspecting or surveying workplaces, processes, products, or other systems for compliance with established safety and occupional health policies or standards and to identify potential new hazards; developing/implementing safety programs to reduce the frequency, severity, and cost of accidents and occupional illnesses.
OR Educion:
Master’s or equivalent gradue degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level gradue educion leading to such a degree with a major study in safety or occupional health fields (safety, occupional health, industrial hygiene), or master’s or equivalent gradue degree in other reled fields th included or was supplemented by least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely reled) disciplines: safety, occupional health, industrial hygiene, occupional medicine, toxicology, public health, mhemics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology.
OR Combinion of Educion and Experience:
A combinion of educion and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
