Job Summary The Safety Assistant supports our safety team in maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and promoting a safe work environment. Assist with safety programs, training, and record-keeping in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Assist in monitoring compliance with federal and state safety regulations. Maintain accurate safety records, including driver logs and training documentation. Support safety training programs for drivers and staff. Conduct inspections and audits of equipment and processes. Assist with incident investigations and prepare reports. Provide administrative support to the safety department. Qualifications 1+ years of experience in safety, transportation, or administrative roles. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with safety software a plus. Detail-oriented and able to work independently. Available for occasional on-call duties outside M-F schedule. Schedule Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call responsibilities.
