Job Description
Description Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines within the Group.
Create and model a safe work environment by demonstrating safety practices and promoting pre-task planning for all projects.
Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
Conduct and/or oversee field surveys for mold, indoor air quality, asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous building materials.
Lead IH sampling and exposure assessments, document site activities, analyze and interpret results, and provide written recommendations regarding health and safety on projects with complex site conditions.
Prepare reports to document survey findings and communicate recommendations to clients.
Review technical reports prepared by Group members to ensure quality and accuracy.
Manage and mentor junior staff.
Understand and be aware of project-related risks. Be familiar with potential issues and how to protect the company, adhering to company risk policies.
Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and practices.
With support from the
Department/Office Manager:
Perform business and client development activities.
Develop and manage employee staffing plans, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
Prepare and execute the annual business plan for the Group.
Oversee and manage key Group metrics such as revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing and collections, and project profitability. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in asbestos/IH practice.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and team members.
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
SCDHEC Certified Asbestos Building Inspector.
Thorough understanding of EPA, OSHA, and Florida regulations regarding asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and radon.
Extensive experience in conducting mold and indoor air quality assessments.
Preferably:
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Certification and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Certification.
SCDHEC Certified Asbestos Management Planner, Project Designer, Supervisor and/or Air Sampler.
NIOSH 582
Training.
EPA Certified Lead-Based Paint Inspector and Risk Assessor.
EPA Certified Lead-Based Paint Designer. Experience Level Intermediate Level
