We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Bilingual EHSSpecialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an individualwith a strong background in engineering and a passion for safety.
The EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance withall environmental, health, and safety regulations, developing andimplementing safety programs, and promoting a culture of safetywithin the organization. This position will require fluency inEnglish and one other language, as well as a minimum of 5 years ofexperience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement,and manage safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance withlocal, state, and federal EHS regulations including OSHA. Conductregular safety inspections and risk assessments to identifypotential hazards and implement corrective actions. Develop anddeliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels of theorganization to promote safety awareness and understanding ofsafety policies and procedures. Investigate incidents andaccidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actionsto prevent reoccurrence. Maintain accurate records of EHS-relatedincidents and actions taken, and prepare reports for management.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate safety intoall operations and processes. Stay abreast of new regulations andbest practices in EHS and update company policies and procedures asnecessary. Provide support and advice to management on EHS matters,including compliance strategies and cost-effective solutions to EHSissues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,Environmental Science, or related field. Minimum of 5 years ofexperience in an EHS role in the engineering industry. Fluent inEnglish and one other language. In-depth knowledge of EHSregulations and standards including OSHA. Experience developing andimplementing safety programs and SOPs. Excellent communication andtraining skills, with the ability to effectively convey safetyconcepts to a diverse audience. Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and managerisks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS managementsystems. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CertifiedIndustrial Hygienist (CIH) designation is a plus.
