We are looking for a Safety Coordinator/Assistant to support our Safety Department; this role requires a general understanding of maintaining files, monthly reporting to senior leadership, and additional assignments as needed. Responsibilities:
You will: Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft and able to learn new safety related software applications
Record Keeping:
Utilizing the safety database to maintain records of files, and training activities. Keeping documentation up to date to ensure compliance with
FMCSA /DOT
regulations Assist in driver qualification files, drug and alcohol testing such as randoms, reasonable suspicion Ensure safety related information is accurately received, tracked, measured and communicated to the various departments. Provides various reports, including safety trends. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Create reports and assist with presentations. Assist in Implementing company safety incentive programs. Administrative Office Experience Required Ensure information is accurately received and communicated to the various departments. Provide services and resources as needed. Perform other related tasks as required by management.
Qualifications:
You have: Superior communication skills are essential for success in this role. A strong attention to detail is necessary. Solid writing skills are an asset. Sound computer skills A strong work ethic and time management skills in order to efficiently handle a large caseload. Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Good verbal, written, and relational communication skills, with the ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, union officials, and the general public.
