Job Description

  • Must have the following in order to apply:
  • Associate’s Degree
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
  • Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and other relevant safety regulations
  • Knowledge of tools, machines, and equipment used in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or Risk Management preferred.

  • Job Description:
  • The EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organizations health, safety, and environmental programs.

This role ensures compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations while fostering a safety culture within the company. The EHS Specialist will provide training, oversee safety protocols, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Promote and maintain a safety culture through leadership and engagement with employees
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations
  • Act as the first point of contact during emergencies, providing guidance and support
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop safety plans and control methods, ensuring adherence to safety regulations
  • Assist in developing task-specific activity hazard analyses for various projects and document compliance efforts
  • Organize and lead Safety Committee meetings to address safety concerns and improvements
  • Conduct safety inspections, jobsite walkthroughs, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Provide employee training on safety protocols, safe equipment operation, and regulatory compliance
  • Investigate workplace accidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain safety metrics and generate reports as required by OSHA and corporate policies
  • Evaluate and address risk assessments and safety concerns related to work instructions, processes, and tooling
  • Stay current with industry regulations and maintain safety certifications
  • Work with claim representatives to provide necessary information for workers compensation and other safety-related claims
  • Conduct and document safety meetings, new hire orientations, and specialized training sessions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
