This position will require flexibility to travel across Florida when necessary. Primary responsibilities include performing routine safety audits, providing real-time coaching, conducting training sessions, and working closely with the project teams and field personnel to promote a strong safety culture.

Rowland Key Responsibilities Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) Perform routine site safety inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions and provide real time coaching. Act as a point of contact for all safety-related issues and effectively address any concerns that arise. Maintain and update safety records safety data sheets (SDS), inspection checklists, and training documentation. Assist in incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and prepare detailed reports with follow-up actions Facilitate New Hire Orientation for field personnel Provide regular safety training for field personnel on relevant topics such as PPE, hazard communication, fall protection, and emergency response. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to promote a proactive safety culture and integrate safety into daily operations. Work closely with project operations teams to develop practices that support safety and health initiatives. Maintain accurate data for the purpose of monitoring Safety and Health performance. Ensure all safety observations, inspections, training data, project specific information and incident reports are entered in EHS Insight. Maintain field personnel certifications and ensure recertification’s are completed in a timely manner Maintain

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong leadership and communication skills Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities Knowledge of project plans, contract requirements, and safety policies Ability to perform under pressure and influence outcomes effectively Experience and familiar with OSHA regulations and safety compliance. Site visits may involve extended periods of standing or walking and require PPE, with potential exposure to heavy equipment, chemicals, dust, fumes, uneven terrain, and extreme weather. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PPT, and Excel Ability to travel throughout Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee when necessary.
