Job Summary Performs daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety. Job Responsibilities
Performs daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety
Preparation of Safety Data Sheet (SDS), master labels and other documentation as needed
Aids management with safety and regulatory audits
Overseas the hazardous waste removal and handling procedures
Responsible for customer inquiries on shipping, handling, and disposal of chemicals
Responsible for generating literature for orders, SDS, etc.
Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
Implements an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure the stewardship of DRS assets
Responds to problems and issues in a tactful and expedient manner
Performs facilities inspections and reporting requirements
Collects data and generates reports and metrics
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Science or related field preferred with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferred
Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills are mandatory
