The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. This role will involve working closely with various departments to implement, and maintain safety programs that adhere to OSHA standards and other relevant regulations. The Safety Specialist will play a crucial role in minimizing workplace hazards, conducting safety audits, and providing training to employees on best practices for occupational health and safety. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs in alignment with OSHA regulations and EHS standards. Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction management processes. Provide training sessions for employees on topics such as workers’ compensation, occupational health, and compliance management. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions. Stay updated on changes in NEC codes and construction management software to ensure ongoing compliance. Analyze accident reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents. Serve as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns and best practices in the workplace. Qualifications Proven experience in a safety role within the construction industry or similar environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EHS standards, and NEC codes. Certification in safety management or related fields (e.g., CSP, CHST) is desirable but not required.
