Safety Operations Startup Leader (OSL) Job Description The Safety Operations Startup Leader is responsible for the creation and implementation of policies and programs necessary to comply with Safety Programs. This role involves providing training and ensuring proper communication at all levels of the plant to achieve full preparation in the Safety and Health Programs and compliance with Federal, State, and Local Government regulations. The OSL works closely with the Factory Safety Manager and acts as a safety resource to all departments in the plant, including NPE for Factory expansion projects. This role requires collaborative work across organizational boundaries, building effective relationships, and driving to meet ambitious performance objectives and quality standards. Responsibilities Create and implement policies and programs to comply with Safety Programs. Provide training and ensure proper communication at all levels of the plant. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local Government regulations. Collaborate closely with the Factory Safety Manager. Act as a safety resource to all departments in the plant and NPE for Factory expansion projects. Build constructive and effective relationships within and across organizational boundaries. Maximize team and colleague contributions to achieve organizational goals. Drive to meet or exceed performance objectives and quality standards. Continually find sustainable improvements to methods and processes. Act proactively by anticipating future opportunities or problems and addressing them in advance. Analyze situations quickly and use appropriate tools to determine the primary root cause and initiate corrective actions.
