Safety and Teamwork Summary:
The HSE Technician will support the health, safety, and environmental efforts of our field teams, primarily through conducting site audits, safety trainings, and recordkeeping. Reporting to the HSE Director, this role plays a vital part in ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting a safety-first culture across job sites. The position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting safe work environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Site Safety Inspections
- Perform field audits and hazard assessments to identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions. Support Incident Reporting
- Assist with incident investigations and documentation; gather witness statements and help with follow-up measures. Assist with Safety Meetings
- Participate in safety committee meetings and support companywide safety initiatives. Maintain Safety Records
- Track inspections, JSA’s, training attendance, incidents, and other compliance documentation. Promote Safety Culture
- Model safe behaviors and support a culture of safety by engaging field employees and reinforcing best practices. Ensure PPE & Materials Are Available
- Monitor PPE supplies and assist with distribution to job sites.
What You Bring to the
Team:
Proven Experience including 2+ years of experience in a safety, HSE, or technician role (industrial or construction setting preferred) OSHA Knowledge and familiarity with OSHA standards and environmental regulations. Excellent Communication skills and strong attention to detail Basic Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook) & Ability to Learn New Software Physical Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in various environments Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to various job sites Safety Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR Strong Commitment to Safety
