We support businesses and job seekers by promoting workplace safety and compliance. We are currently seeking a Lab Coordinator to lead and manage the daily operations of our clinic’s lab.
Position Summary:
The Lab Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of lab services related to pre-employment screenings and work-related injury evaluations. This position requires experience in drug testing procedures (DOT and non-DOT), fit testing, and physical assessments, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform drug screening collections (urine, hair, oral fluid) in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Manage and maintain chain-of-custody documentation and lab compliance
- Conduct respirator fit testing and ensure proper recordkeeping
- Support pre-employment and post-injury physicals, assisting medical providers as needed
- Maintain cleanliness, calibration, and compliance of all lab equipment
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of lab results
- Liaise with employers, patients, and third-party administrators professionally
- Train and supervise support staff as needed
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and manage ordering processes
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
- Certification in drug screen collection (DOT preferred)
- Experience with occupational health services or pre-employment testing
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and workplace safety requirements
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
