Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Fire Watch to join our safety team. The Fire Watch will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of personnel and property during hot work operations or other activities that may pose a fire risk. This position requires constant monitoring of designated areas, quick response to potential hazards, and effective communication with team members to maintain a safe working environment. Responsibilities Monitor work areas for potential fire hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Maintain a clear line of sight to the work being performed and be prepared to act in case of an emergency. Communicate effectively with workers to ensure they are aware of fire safety measures. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and surroundings to identify any potential risks. Document any incidents or observations related to fire safety and report them to the supervisor. Assist in the implementation of fire prevention measures and emergency response plans. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required. Experience Previous experience in a safety-related role or as a Fire Watch is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with fire safety regulations, procedures, and equipment is advantageous. Strong observational skills and the ability to remain vigilant for extended periods. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and collaboration.
