Safety Coordinator Unite Contracting Solutions La Place, LA 70068 Safety Coordinator Unite Contracting is seeking a Safety Coordinator with current OSHA 500 or 510 certification, who is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for employees across various industries. This Safety Coordinator job requires OSHA 510 or 500 certification and verifiable experience. No Per Diem Money for this job. Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays. This position involves handling all Disa, ISNet World, Avetta, and OSHA paperwork. You will be working closely with employees, supervisors, and management to identify, evaluate, and eliminate safety hazards. The Safety Technician also creates and implements safety programs, provides safety training, and conducts safety inspections.

Safety Technician Duties and Responsibilities :

Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and OSHA regulations. Inspect facilities, equipment, and operations to identify potential safety hazards. Provide safety training to employees and management regularly to ensure a safe working environment. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans. Monitor safety performance in the workplace and provide feedback to employees and management to ensure ongoing improvement. Maintain safety records and documentation. Develop safety incentive programs. Could you provide input and assistance in developing safety budgets? Monitor compliance with safety regulations and recommend improvements as needed. Coordinate with external agencies for workers’ compensation claims and related matters. Conduct regular safety meetings to communicate updates and address concerns. At least 3 years of experience in a safety role Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Skills In-depth knowledge of workers’ compensation law and regulations Strong training development skills to effectively educate employees on safety protocols Proficiency in CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures Ability to fabricate innovative solutions to address safety concerns Understanding of occupational health principles and practices Experience in conducting root cause analysis for incident investigation Excellent report writing skills to document safety incidents and recommendations Familiarity with OSHA standards and requirements

OSHA 510

Certification required.
