- IH Certified Industrial Hygienist 3
- to join our Woburn, MA team! Come join us!
- Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- + Developing and conducting health and safety programs, EHS facility audits, personal exposure assessments, + Evaluating and designing engineering controls (e.
g. local ventilation systems), + Developing and implementing OSHA health and Safety compliance programs, indoor air quality evaluations encompassing air testing, building system evaluations and communications and managing and directing building material project work (asbestos, mold, lead). + Performing H&S and industrial hygiene tasks including but not limited to: + Developing and conducting H&S training courses for clients; + Performing oversight of site activities to assess H&S compliance; + Conducting field audits and serving as onsite H&S Officer; and; + Conducting incident investigations. + Providing H&S technical support + Providing quality assurance/quality control during the preparation of technical proposals and reports,
- Minimum requirements:
- + BS degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene or related science-based discipline + Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience + Certified Industrial Hygenist, Certified Safety Professional. + Valid Driver’s License + Experience with and/or licenses held in Building Science fields (asbestos, lead, mold) preferred.
- Technical requirements:
- + Ability to work with mathematical concepts commonly associated with the professions of safety engineering and industrial hygiene such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
+ Competent with Microsoft Office products + Knowledge with Industrial Hygiene and/or Building Sciences related sampling equipment and protocols. + Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to mold, asbestos, lead, radon, indoor air quality and/or industrial hygiene services required.
- Other miscellaneous qualities:
- + Ability to travel throughout New England 30% of the time + Ability to wear a respirator, safety harness, and other personal protective equipment as needed. + Strong technical writing skills
