Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our client, an established civil engineering contractor who prioritise safety, to work on a prestigious project in Suffolk. Health & Safety Advisor Suffolk £45-55k + Car + Accommodation if required Assured Safety Recruitment are excited to be working with this civil engineering organisation as they expand their Health & Safety team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the Company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Management systems across their projects. Your duties will include but are not limited to: Advise contract and site staff on risk assessments, method statements, safety plans, and general safety issues. Chair monthly HSEQ meetings, conduct audits/inspections, and ensure non-conformance closure. Represent the company at safety meetings with clients and subcontractors, and attend pre-start meetings. Lead accident investigations, produce reports, and ensure corrective actions; distribute safety bulletins. Communicate safety initiatives, update staff on changes, and liaise with HSQE Director on project summaries. Assist with in-house safety training, ensure compliance with client Health & Safety standards, and promote best practices.

About you:

You will hold the NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum Health & Safety qualification and experience working in a Health & Safety role in Civil Engineering / Construction. You will have knowledge of CDM Regulations and excellent communication skills. Full UK Driving Licence is also required
