Transportation Safety Specialist 2.4 2.4 out of 5 stars 10 Tandem Way, Hopedale, MA 01747 KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all company standards, policies and procedure Monitor compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and other applicable regulations Analyze safety data and incident reports to identify trends and recommend corrective actions Monitors safety notifications, alerts and distribute safety statistical information to managers Manage transportation-related accident and injury claims, including reporting, documentation, and coordination with insurance providers. Assist with accident investigations and maintain documentation related to incidents. Assist with recording accidents, investigation and workmen’s compensation claims Maintain records and prepare reports related to safety performance, compliance, and training Support safety-related certifications and compliance reviews Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Transportation Management, or a related field (preferred). 1 – 3 years of experience in transportation, safety or related field. Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations. Certification in safety (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, OSHA 30-Hour) is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
