HSE Advisor HireIO Inc. Lewiston, ME 04240 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSE Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and overseeing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of relevant regulations and the ability to effectively communicate safety protocols to staff at all levels. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies in compliance with applicable laws, including EPA regulations. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify potential hazards. Provide training development for staff on safety practices, including First Aid and CPR. Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, findings from inspections, and recommendations for improvements. Collaborate with management to create strategies for reducing workplace injuries and illnesses. Stay informed about changes in workers’ compensation law and occupational health regulations to ensure compliance. Facilitate communication between management and employees regarding HSE matters. Assist in the fabrication of safety programs tailored to specific operational needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in an HSE role or similar position. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, workers’ compensation law, and environmental policies. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in relevant areas are a plus. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Strong training development skills with the ability to engage employees effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail when assessing risks and implementing solutions.
