We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Support Technician to join our manufacturing team in the Auburn, Maine area. This position is a dynamic mix of hands-on production work and safety oversight. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment while performing production duties and taking part in safety training, reports, and ongoing safety initiatives within the facility. This is not a temporary job.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Duties (50%):
Perform hands-on manufacturing work as needed to meet production goals.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth production flow and product quality.
Monitor work areas for safety and operational efficiency.
Safety Training & s (50%):
Conduct safety training sessions for employees, ensuringpliance with safety standards and regulations.
Develop and maintain safety reports, tracking incidents, near-misses, and safety metrics.
Participate in daily safety checks and audits to identify hazards or potential safety issues.
Assist in implementing corrective actions and improvements to enhance overall workplace safety.
Collaborate with management to develop and update safety protocols as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, with a background in safety roles such as Safety Lead, or similar position.
Strongputer skills for reporting, training documentation, and tracking safety data.
Excellentmunication and people skills to engage with employees at all levels and facilitate safety training sessions.
Ability to perform physical tasks and stand for extended periods in a production environment.
General knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and best practices for workplace safety.

Pay Details:

$22.00 to $25.00 per hour
