The Transporter is responsible for the transportation of CompassHealth consumers and will dispatch, route, and track new andexisting transportation referrals. The Transporter will drive andmaintain agency vehicles and must be able to perform the essentialfunctions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
This is a full-time position. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am- 4:00pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC
Drives within postedspeed limits with passengers in their seatbelts while vehicle is inmotion Obeys safety regulations and traffic laws Requires workingin a team environment Acts as a preceptor and educator to new staffReports and schedules any vehicle maintenance needs, and isresponsible for regularly cleaning the vehicle Reports anyemergency breakdowns or accidents per company policy Completesvehicle inspection, mileage, and maintenance logs Must haveknowledge and understanding of policy and procedures, and abide byall Federal and state laws Transport Compass Health patients Planefficient pick up and drop off routes to maximize efficiencyMaintain professional, and respectful communication with customers,public and other staff Follow event report and patient complaintspolicy and processes Notify supervisor of unusual occurrences orrisk management issues Work outside in all weather conditionsCompletes vehicle inspection logs (Wellbeing Center only) Mayprovide support with conflict resolution and support members whencrises arise (Wellbeing Center only) Supports staff and members indaily operations of Wellbeing Center (Wellbeing Center only)Communicates any updates regarding members with supervisor andother staff (Wellbeing Center only) Other duties as assignedGuidelines Obey safety regulations and traffic laws Respectperson’s served confidentiality and interact in a professionalmanner Report any emergency breakdown or accident as required totransportation manager Follow agency van usage guidelines OtherResponsibilities Attend all trainings as required by Compass HealthNetwork, Accreditors, and Funders Other miscellaneous duties asassigned
WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK
Regular exposure tofumes and/or gases Operating vehicles or machinery High School/GEDpreferred
WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Abilityto possess cognitive, organizational, and emotional maturity todeal effectively with multiple stressors required At least one-yearexperience in customer service or health-related field preferredExperience with management of transportation programs preferredExcellent communication skills and computer skills (MicrosoftOffice Suite) preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
