Role:
As an Industrial Safety Specialist with JSS, you’ll play a crucial role in preventing incidents and promoting a safety-first culture on dynamic projects across the United States. You’ll collaborate with project teams, conduct safety audits, and provide expert guidance in various industrial settings. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for a passionate safety professional who enjoys variety and travel.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive site safety inspections and audits. Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and programs. Provide safety training and orientation to workers. Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices. Collaborate with project managers and clients to foster a strong safety culture. Maintain accurate records and reports.
Qualifications- Essential:
OSHA 30 in Construction certification 3+ years of professional safety experience in industrial construction, pipeline, manufacturing, steel mill, refinery, or power plant environments. Proven ability to manage safety cases effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications. Eligible to work in the US. Ability to pass a background check and drug test. Physical stamina for regular site visits and travel. This position entails 100% travel; applicants should apply only if willing to fulfill travel obligations.
