This position reports to HSE Manager Your role and responsibilities The role serves as an environmental expert who aims to identify potential environmental issues, create solutions to environmental issues, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The duties can occur in the office, and on location. Contributes to improving sustainability performance. Supports the implementation of the factory’s sustainability strategy and business-specific priorities by applying in-depth knowledge and offering solutions and advice. This role is part of the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Team and will assist with the general safety and health of the facility. (40% Environmental, 40% Sustainability, 20% HSE Support) The work model for the role is: ONSITE You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Assisting in reporting sustainability progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level sustainability objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required.
  • Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific programs and practices to ensure a strong focus on sustainability matters, across your respective organization.
  • Contributing to and/or planning and executing sustainability-related projects.
  • Developing project objectives and reporting the progress to management.

Qualifications for the role Bachelor degree, preferred, PLUS minimum 2 years HSE experience OR Associate degree PLUS minimum 4 years related experience OR High School diploma/GED PLUS minimum 6 years experience Experience in Program Management, preferred Experience in Managing a Regulated Waste program, preferred Experience in Managing air permit program, preferred Experience in Managing an Industrial Storm Water program, preferred Skills in data base management systems and MS Office Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
