The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment, particularly in construction settings, and requires expertise in occupational health, risk management, and compliance management. Responsibilities Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Provide training to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Monitor workplace activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations and report any violations or incidents. Collaborate with management to develop risk management strategies that minimize workplace injuries and accidents. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and employee training sessions. Serve as the point of contact for workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with relevant stakeholders. Experience Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in a construction or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC standards, and workers’ compensation processes. Familiarity with EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) principles and construction management software is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety protocols. Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing effective mitigation strategies.
