1st Shift Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to oversee our organization’s health and safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health standards, implementing safety policies, and fostering a culture of safety within the workplace. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management and the ability to conduct thorough investigations into incidents to prevent future occurrences. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Manage contractor activities and facility maintenance programs. Develop, implement, and lead safety training initiatives for employees at all levels. Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Research and recommend best practices for continuous safety improvements. Create and maintain safety documentation, records, and reports. Engage with employees regularly to promote a culture of safety and awareness. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership teams. Stay current on federal, state, and local safety regulations. Stay updated on changes in occupational health laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure organizational compliance. (Preferred) Apply food safety/FDA knowledge in relevant environments. Skills Strong knowledge of occupational health principles, workers’ compensation laws, and OSHA regulations. Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions. Experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) management systems. Experience in developing and delivering safety training. Comfortable managing contractors and external service providers.
