Safety Coordinator Job Description We are seeking experienced Solar Safety Coordinators to support large utility-scale solar projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of OSHA requirements and must hold either an OSHA 500 or
OSHA 510
certification, along with a valid CPR/First Aid certification. A minimum of one year of solar safety experience is required. This role involves developing and enforcing safety standards for both internal employees and subcontractors, conducting safety orientations, and performing regular site walks in varying environmental conditions. The Safety Coordinator will also be responsible for completing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and conducting safety audits. Candidates must be highly organized and committed to fostering a strong safety culture throughout the project. Responsibilities Develop and enforce safety standards for internal employees and subcontractors. Conduct safety orientations and regular site walks in varying environmental conditions. Complete Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and conduct safety audits. Utilize safety documentation software for reporting and auditing. Foster a strong safety culture throughout the project. Essential Skills OSHA 500 or 510 certification. Valid CPR/First Aid certification. Minimum one year of solar safety experience. Experience in safety documentation software and audits. Work Environment The majority of time in this role will be spent in the field, actively overseeing construction-related activities to ensure safety standards are consistently upheld. On-site transportation will be provided in the form of a buggy or site truck; therefore, candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. In addition to fieldwork, Safety Coordinators will also spend time in the office handling reporting, administrative tasks, and delivering safety training. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Enfield, North Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
