Summary The BIM/VDC Specialist supports the Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design Construction process and works directly under the BIM/VDC Manager to facilitate jobsite construction using VDC. The Specialist creates 3D models on one complex project or multiple small projects and may assist with design validation and model maintenance. Visits field to learn concrete construction means and methods. Roles and Responsibilities The BIM/VDC Specialist will possess competency in the following areas to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Supports Pre-construction with Visualization and Presentation
Supports Research and Implementation of Construction Technology
Supports Onboarding and Training Needs
Supports Information Technology
Ensures a Safe Work Environment
Participates in Training/Certifications Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in a related construction field and 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
