Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of construction safety experience preferred; internships or co-op experience considered. OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain quickly). Basic understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices. Strong communication and organizational skills. Comfortable working in a field-based environment; ability to walk/inspect large sites daily. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with safety reporting software a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Field Safety Manager in implementing site-specific safety programs. Conduct daily safety inspections and audits; report and assist with corrective actions. Monitor jobsite for unsafe conditions or practices and work with supervisors and subcontractors to resolve them. Support orientation and onboarding of new workers with safety briefings and PPE distribution. Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and hazard assessments. Maintain safety documentation including inspection reports, training records, incident logs, and SDS. Assist in the investigation of incidents or near-misses and help prepare documentation. Serve as a visible and proactive advocate for jobsite safety.
