Occupational Medical Technician / Safety Coordinator 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Saint Pauls, NC 28384 Provide comprehensive medical services treatment of an on-the-job injuries and illnesses, medical record keeping, health education, equipment and supplies control, and employee health screening, surveillance programs. Supervisor are responsible for a great deal of what goes on day to day in the workplace; its not just a position that solely assigns tasks. Supervisor must ensure safe and healthful workplace for employees. Employees must be able to report unsafe or unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards to a supervisor without fear of reprisal. Requirements Provide routine and emergency assessment/treatment of on-the-job injuries and illnesses. Maintain medical, workers compensation and hearing files. Responsible for maintaining an accurate and current OSHA log Act as a liaison between external health professionals, employees and management Ensure training of non-medical personnel in First Aid and CPR Administer basics of Drug/Alcohol Program Maintain and coordinate hearing conservation program including annual audio metric testing Manage all workers compensation cases Maintain monthly reports related to area of responsibility Complete other duties and special projects as assigned Conduct Orientation and Training of Employees Enforce Safe Work Practices Correct Unsafe Conditions Prevent Lingering Unsafe or Unhealthful Workplace Conditions of Hazards Promote Quick Return to Work OSHA Certification Certified Safety Professional (CSP) EMT Certification Overall over Safety Program Benefits Vacation Time 1 year 5 days / 40 hours 2 through 5 years completed 10 days / 80 hours 6 or more years completed 15 days / 120 hours 401(k) Retirement Plan (Principal)
