Day Shift Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Field Safety Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
Serve as the field regulatory expert on EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) matters. Develop and implement driver safety training programs to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. Lead training sessions on defensive driving, hazard recognition, PIT operation, and other EHS-related topics. Respond to accident scenes, gather data, and conduct root cause analysis to determine contributing factors. Implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents and improve safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of incidents and report findings to management and relevant authorities. Monitor driver performance, identify improvement areas, and provide coaching as needed. Deploy EHS technological solutions across multiple geographical territories. Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to update safety and compliance policies. Conduct regular safety audits, and inspections, and identify potential hazards, recommending improvements to enhance safety.
Position Requirements:
Completion of a Motor Fleet Accident Investigation course. Successful completion of the Third-Party Commercial Driver License Tester course. Extensive knowledge of
US DOT FMCSA
regulations. Familiar with 29CFR1910 General Industry standards. Proficient in Root Cause Analysis. Knowledgeable in safety audit methodologies. Clean driving record, with no more than two suspensions or sanctions in the past three years. Strong oral and written communication skills. Effective leadership, interpersonal, and investigative abilities. Professionalism, tact, and discretion in all interactions. Ability to develop and execute action plans effectively.
