This role is critical to maintaining product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance in controlled production areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and deep cleaning of GMP production areas, including floors, walls, ceilings, equipment surfaces, and cleanroom environments. Follow strict cleaning protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Accurately document cleaning activities in logbooks or electronic systems in real time. Handle and mix cleaning and sanitizing agents according to safety and GMP guidelines. Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adhere to gowning procedures when entering cleanrooms or controlled areas. Conduct visual inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met. Assist in environmental monitoring activities as directed. Report deviations, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions immediately. Support audits and inspections by providing accurate cleaning records and answering questions related to sanitation procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of experience in janitorial in a pharmaceutical, or food-grade setting Knowledge of GMP regulations (FDA, EU, etc.) and hygiene standards. Ability to work in cleanroom environments (e.g., ISO 5-8). Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Physically able to stand, lift, bend, and carry out repetitive tasks. Ability to work in shifts or weekends if required.

Preferred Skills:

Understanding of contamination control and microbiological risk. Experience with cleaning validation and sanitation scheduling. Familiarity with Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Sterilize-In-Place (SIP) systems.
