Summary:
HIGHWAY MAINTAINER I
Assists in performing year-round highway maintenance activities and projects involving operation of vehicles, trucks, manual and specialty labor skills in the operation of hand tools, power tools and motorized equipment used for highway maintenance, construction activities, and for emergency traffic services for the NH State Highway System.
HIGHWAY MAINTAINER II
Performs year-round highway maintenance activities involving the operation and servicing of mechanized highway equipment used for highway maintenance, construction activities, and for emergency traffic services for the NH State Highway System.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
HIGHWAY MAINTAINER I
Education:
High school diploma or high school equivalency credential.
Experience:
Three (3) months of work experience preferably in a field related to highway maintenance.
License/Certification:
Applicant must possess a valid drivers license. The applicants Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the hiring agency. The applicant must obtain a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL-B) with appropriate endorsements prior to completion of the probationary period.
HIGHWAY MAINTAINER II
Education:
High school diploma or high school equivalency credential.
Experience:
One year of experience in the operation of light motor driven equipment.
License/Certification:
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class B (CDL-B) with appropriate endorsements. The applicants Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards as established by the hiring agency.
