Responsibilities:
This position focuses mainly on providing a safeenvironment for guests and associates by routinely conductingbuilding/ground inspections to assure regulatory compliance;responds to fires and other emergencies as needed; and investigatesfirst aid incident reports as necessary. Conducts investigations on necessary first aid incidents asrequested by Park Management and the First Aid Supervisor. Performs routine fire and safety inspections. Types ofinspections include but are not limited to: Fire Extinguisher,Fire Prevention – Building Safety, Spill Continguency andCountermeasures (SPCC), Hazardous Waste and Bulk Storage, Personal protective equipment, etc. Performs follow-up inspections for corrective action andreports continued safety issues to the responsible department andSafety Operations / Area Manager. Responds to and assists with park emergencies, patient care,safety investigations, scene management, and to help provide guestand or associate assistance as necessary. Partners with departments to assist with creating solutions tosafety concerns Assists with the regular maintenance of emergencyequipment Assists First Aid staff as needed. Responds, operates and maintains emergency response vehiclesand associated equipment. Conducts or assists with safety training classes when needed.
Examples of classes include but are not limited to: Powered Industrial Lift Truck, Fire Drills / Fire Safety, FireExtingusiher inspection and use, Respirator fit testing, etc. Completes and maintains timely and accurate audit andinspection documentation in an orderly and efficient manner. Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards whenserving the guest or working with subordinates, includinginitiating guest interactions, answering questions and givingdirections. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area andperforms all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelinesand requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions tosupervision. Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights,weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Meets Cedar Fair’s attendance requirements as outlined in CedarFair’s attendance policies. Adheres to Cedar Fair’s Rules of Conduct including specificcostuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies andprocedures. Other duties may be assigned. –
Qualifications:
Ability to demonstrate exceptional public relations skills Ability to drive, or learn to drive, a vehicle with a manualtransmission. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office. Possess a valid and current Driver’s License Possess a valid NC, SC, or NR EMT certification Maintains a current and valid AHA CPR Healthcare Provider ORMEDIC/Mecklenburg County Focused CPR Certification. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meetbusiness needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Companypolicy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age orolder, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal,DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, perCompany policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or povinciallaw.
