JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of the Fire Life Safety Sales Executive position is toprospect and develop new customers. Customer development to includeupselling and multi-line development of services, providing andnegotiating pricing for inspection contracts. Fire Life SafetySales Executives will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager,Service Manager and Service Operations Staff to ensure customersatisfaction. This position is a key part of our Service DepartmentTeam.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Pro-actively engage in making sales calls to new prospectivecustomers to build the Inspection and Service business by addingnew customers to existing portfolio. Examples include “door todoor” cold calling, completing call blocks, creating verticaltarget list for territory assigned, and creating a sales plan toachieve assigned sales goals. Pro-actively engage in making sales calls to current customersto build the Inspection and Service business by expanding ourservice offering to existing customers (upsell). Remain informed of all conversion opportunities by turningconstruction installation customers into service customers. Create and maintain a sufficient pipeline of activity that willensure meeting sales plan/goals assigned by fully understandingthat success is a byproduct of generating activity, which leads tosales. Manage responsibly all sales activity within assignedsalesforce account, or other sales tracking system, by recordingboth customer and prospect information with sufficient detail whilealso monitoring days that a proposal remains outstanding. Follow up on all pending proposals in a timely manner toexplain scope, answer questions, and convey the importance of theproposal with the intended goal to accelerate the award of the saleor further advance the opportunity through the sales cycle. Understand company pricing approach to inspection sales usingexcel or company provided estimating tools. A full understandingand knowledge of contractual terms and conditions of ITM agreementimportant. Represent the organization at industry meetings such asBuilding Owners Management Association (BOMA), customer visits, andcustomer entertainment which may occur outside normal businesshours. Remain abreast of potential market opportunities through salescalls, networking and other market related information includingchanges and/or updates to local fire code requirements. Assist Service Manager and service department with potentialre-signs of existing customers whenever necessary. Continue to advance industry technical knowledge throughinternal training, ride along with field personnel and reviewingtechnical material. Expected to work directly with the Branch Manager, RegionalSales Manager, and Service Manager to assess customer relationshipsand profitability. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED, required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Business or related,preferred.
Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:
3-5 years sales or fire protection industry experience,required. 2 years reading electronic blueprints, and experience withSalesForce, preferred. 2 years operating a computer, Microsoft Office, required. Must have the ability to effectively read, write andcommunicate in English with employees, customers and board ordirectors.
Other Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
Reliable transportation, required. Must be able to comply with SFS’s Drug and Alcohol policy andBackground screening requirements, which may also include customerspecific requirements based on contractual agreement Frequent travel, required, up to 50%
