Job Sites from Southern Maine to Southern New Hampshire Position Overview
The Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the construction environment. This role is crucial in identifying potential hazards and implementing safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace for all employees. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites
Develop and implement safety training programs for employees
Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards
Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences
Prepare safety reports and documentation for management review
Act as a liaison between management and regulatory agencies regarding safety concerns
Provide guidance on safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety role within the construction industry, heavy civil preferred
Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
