GENERAL SUMMARY
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is responsible to work collaboratively in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner can assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to Occupational Health & Wellness. The providers primary patient population will consist of adult patients over the age of 18 referred for the treatment of an occupational illness or injury. In addition, he/she will perform pre-placement as well as DOT, Asbestos and Haz-Mat physicals in accordance with hospital policy and state and federal regulations. AHMC employees can also be treated for acute physical conditions as directed by the Occupational Health Clinicians.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Skills Required:
1. Licensed or license eligible as a N.Y.S. Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. 2.
BLS, ACLS
preferred. 3. Prescription privileges required. 4. Minimum of 3 years recent experience in an Occupational Health practice preferred. 5. Experience with Haz/Mat, DOT and Asbestos physicals preferred. 6. Continuing Education Credits in Occupational and Environmental Medicine preferred. 7. Experience with OSHA, NYS and Federal regulations pertaining to Occupational Medicine preferred. 8. Knowledge of ADA and EEOC regulation preferred. 9.
NYS DOT CDL
Provider Certification required within 60 days of hire.
