Juice Plant -Sanitation Specialist 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 3655 Berry Fields Road, Geneva, NY 14456 Juice Plant Sanitation Specialist—Reports to Juice Quality manager The Juice Plant Sanitation Specialist is a role that attributes to many areas and functions within the juice plant up to and including Sanitation of juice processing equipment, areas of manufacturing, and plant offices. This role is an afternoon shift role but does offer daily hours as well to promote flexibility. There is process control on various cleaning (CIP) and record keeping throughout the shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

CIP (Clean in Place)

• Become familiar with / operate sanitation equipment – operations including areas of juice processing / storage tanks.
• Be able to manage your daily schedule / varieties based on days needs
• Chemical handling for cleaning requirements
• Perform document control / HACCP guidelines
• Provide cleaning support for processing areas
• Perform and record daily, monthly quality checks as necessary
• Operate pumps / tanks line connections
• Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Two years of related experience helpful
• Knowledge of food safety requirements
• Knowledge of food based food quality requirements (ex. HACCP, GMP, GAP, etc)
• Ability to work independently with initiative in an entrepreneurial environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
• Ability to exchange non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and organization skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand on feet for multiple hours at a time, with or without assistance. The employee is required to sit and use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Noise level is usually moderate.
