JOB SUMMARY A
Sanitation Team Member will assist in the production of freeze-dried products. This role requires the ability to maintain a clean environment that is essential to the overall production process which requires working with cleaning chemicals, lifting, pushing, and pulling. A thorough understanding of safe food practices and the ability to follow directions is vital. This role is cross trained between the stages of freeze-dried goods, processing and sorting, and packaging. The Sanitation Team Member plays a vital part in the efficiency of the Thrive Freeze Dry business. A team player that is ready to roll up their sleeves with us is the ideal candidate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing ALL production equipment and production rooms for use and operation in Production. Cleaning production machinery, equipment and rooms is the primary function of this role. Cleaning assignments include, but are not limited to, the outside perimeter, front office, break room, hallway, and bathrooms. Maintain warehouse interior by washing, sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, picking up trash and strapping materials. Remove trash by emptying trash containers/dumpsters and transporting them to the disposal area. Clean behind containers/dumpsters. Maintain cleaning inventory by checking stock level and anticipating cleaning equipment replacement. Keep cleaning equipment operational by following manufacturer’s operating care and guidelines. Ensure continuity between shifts by documenting cleaning actions and noting areas requiring additional care. Communicate with management daily. REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform the physical and mental work requirements of the position. Perform basic math and demonstrate an ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers and departments, including the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This person must be able to perform as part of a team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
– Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations: The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 100% walking and standing. The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees.
