Detailed documentation required following each monitoring visit including strength-based coaching and corrective actions, as indicated. CDA, AA degree, or higher is required. Strong computer literacy , time management, and interpersonal skills also required. The ability to efficiently travel to our Staten Island office and our family-based childcare programs located throughout Staten Island.
Responsibilities:
Be part of a team in supporting affiliated family childcare programs and families Provide coaching/mentoring to family childcare home providers. Ensure compliance with applicable company policies and procedures as set forth by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services and the Administration for Children Services. Ensure proper care and supervision for each child at all times and adhere to standards of professional conduct Ensure the family childcare home and all equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition. Conduct monitoring and compliance in accordance with ACS, CACFP, DOH, and network’s policies and procedures. Timely data entry on all monitoring and compliance forms. Monitor children’s attendance Provide referrals and resources for UFCCN families Assist with the recruitment of potential UFCCN families and children Other duties as requested by Network to fulfill job responsibilities Must have a valid License and car
Qualifications:
Have or working toward an AA/AS degree or CDA credential Experience working with Health and Safety of Early Childhood Education Knowledge of OCFS regulations as it pertains to Family Childcare Two to three years of experience working with families of young children Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Flexible and works well independently Must meet all applicable federal, state and city requirements to work with children in an early childhood setting
