We are currently looking for a Night Shift Safety Trainer . This position is at the Orangeburg, NY facility. Mon-Fri 12:00AM to 8:00AM. Must be able to train during the day in the beginning of their employment.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Training :

Providing training for new and current employees on safety, including new hire safety orientation. This will include classroom training, and on-the-job training “hands on machine specific training “. Safety plans : Assist in developing and implementing safety plans and programs that meet industry standards and the needs of the workplace. Safety audits : Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Safety equipment : Ensuring the proper use of safety devices and protective equipment- PPE. Safety reporting : Investigating accidents or incidents to determine the cause and reporting them to the necessary authorities no later than 24 hours. Safety policies : Monitoring the way employees behave during the workday to identify if a policy needs to be adjusted. Safety communication : Collaborating with employees to help them understand and follow all safety rules through communication methods like toolbox talks, written instructions, and visual presentations, safety committee meetings. Emergency drills : Scheduling and holding emergency safety drills. Training materials : Assist in preparing, issuing, and maintaining training materials. Training schedules : Communicating and updating training schedules and tracking. Training progress : Monitoring and reporting training progress

Requirements:

Must be able to multi-task and have excellent time management / organizational skills Must be bilingual in Spanish/English. Must have manufacturing experience. Computer proficiency
