Health and Safety Coordinator Marencor Gouverneur, NY 13642 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to lead our organization’s health and safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and programs that ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. This role is crucial in promoting a safe work environment, reducing workplace hazards, and ensuring the well-being of all employees. Responsibilities Develop and implement health and safety policies in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Lead root cause analysis investigations for incidents and accidents to determine underlying issues and implement corrective actions. Provide training development for employees on health and safety practices, including CPR, first aid, and occupational health topics. Maintain records of workplace injuries, illnesses, and workers’ compensation claims while ensuring compliance with relevant laws. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental health and safety (EHS). Serve as the primary point of contact for all health and safety-related inquiries. Experience Proven experience in a health & safety management role or similar position. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, workers’ compensation law, and EHS principles. Experience in conducting training sessions on health and safety topics. Familiarity with occupational health practices and procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train staff at all levels. Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis and developing actionable solutions.
