This role is critical in ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations and promoting a strong safety culture across all areas of our mining operation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working across departments to ensure health and safety standards are met and continuously improved.

Responsibilities:

Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with MSHA and other applicable safety regulations. Develop, implement, and update health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. Deliver employee safety training and education programs. Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses. Perform regular safety inspections of both underground and surface operations. Investigate incidents and accidents; document findings and corrective actions. Coordinate MSHA inspections and maintain communication with regulatory bodies. Stay informed on changes in local, state, and federal safety regulations. Schedule and manage employee physicals, hearing tests, and medical surveillance as required. Support weekly and monthly health and safety reporting. Maintain accurate records of training, inspections, and investigations. Collaborate with management and departments to promote a safety-first culture. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Experience with MSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance. Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient in using computers for communication, documentation, and reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the mining or heavy industrial sector. MSHA Trainer Certification. Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
